​Foster 40-80 First Defense Disinfectant has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to coronavirus disease 2019, COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, Foster 40-80 First Defense™ Disinfectant can be used against coronavirus disease 2019, COVID-19 when used in accordance with the directions for use against Norovirus on hard, non-porous surfaces. Refer to the CDC website for additional information.
Foster 40-80 First Defense Disinfectant is a hospital disinfectant for hard non-porous surfaces and have both norovirus and human coronavirus listed on the label as viruses it is effective against. Users of any disinfectant must follow label directions for use when disinfecting hard non-porous surfaces. Refer to the product label for more information on uses, contact times and environmental surfaces for this product.

How You Can Protect Your Environment

Community members can practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces (for example: tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks) with household cleaners and EPA-registered disinfectants that are appropriate for the surface, following label instructions. Labels contain instructions for safe and effective use of the cleaning product including precautions you should take when applying the product, such as wearing gloves and making sure you have good ventilation during use of the product.
